This is my 5th year at Arcadia Elementary. I love the students here and enjoy sharing music with them. I truly believe that every student can do something musical; whether it be singing, playing instruments, dancing to music, or listening and describing music.  The fine arts give students a wonderful opportunity to be creative and make relationships with things they've learned in math, reading and language arts, science, and social studies. Music is another skill that takes practice and patience and discipline. It helps people throughout their lives!

I grew up in a musical family - my dad is a high school chorus teacher and a great piano player, my mom sings, and my younger sister also sings and teaches elementary music! We're like the von Trapp family in "The Sound of Music".....only a lot smaller :-)

When I'm not teaching, I enjoy singing and playing hand bells at church, reading, going to the movies, listening to music, and going to concerts.  I also love to travel!  I've visited about 35 states and 9 different countries.  Hopefully I'll get around to all 50 states!
