• 22 year veteran of the Spartanburg County Sheriff's Office
• D.A.R.E. (Drug Abuse Resistance Education) Officer at Gable in the early 1990's and taught the special middle school curriculum

School Resource Officers serve as school-based community police officers. They provide school security, teach law-related education classes and assist parents, educators, and students as local law enforcement liasons. Deputy Foster lives in the Walnut Grove community with his wife of 30 years, Mindy. They have 2 sons, John (age 21) and Timothy (age 20) both former students at Gable.
