Homework 

§        Assigned Monday – Thursday (usually from text)

§        Due the next day.  Will accept late but points deducted.

§        Students encouraged to write assignment in planner or on first clean page in notebook section ‘ homework’.

§        Always something already taught in class (or a review)

 

POTW (Problem of the Week) 

§        Format varies but usually some sort of puzzle

§        Assigned Fridays, Due next Friday

§        NO late POTW accepted unless sick

§        Must use 3 R’s format taught in class

§        Type for extra credit

 

Test

§        Every other Wed. First test this Wed. 

§        Covers material since last test or otherwise noted by teacher

 

Daily Drill

§        Focuses on Vocabulary or Measurement, Sequences, Computation

§        Assigned M-Thur…all 4 due on Thurs on same sheet of paper.

 

Team Newsletter

§        May be signed by parent and student given one point extra credit weekly for the signature. May turn in only the current one for the week.

 

Essential 55

§        “Little things mean a lot”

§        40 essential things for a good student to know and practice
