We are continuing our Science unit on Heat
and States of Matter. Your child should be able to identify solids,
liquids, and gases. Have your child show you how to change matter from one
state to another. For example, from a liquid to a solid by freezing, or from
a solid to a liquid by melting. Also, ask your child the best way to keep
your coffee or hot chocolate warm. Ask them what an insulator does for the
coffee. Also, ask them what would happen to a metal spoon if put into a pot
of hot water.
Your child is required to read each night
for 20 minutes and write in their reading log. Parents must sign their
reading log each night.
