Covid Information Center
The safety of our students and staff is our highest priority. In an effort of full disclosure and to keep our parents fully informed, we will be providing information daily when notified by DHEC that a student or staff member has tested positive for COVID-19 or quarantined due to possible exposure at school. DHEC, in connection with District Six, will also follow up with contact tracing and provide specific information for the students and staff who are determined to be in close contact. According to DHEC, a close contact is someone who has been within 6 feet of a COVID-19 positive person for more than 15 minutes. If you are not contacted by DHEC it has been determined that your child is not considered a close contact. If 3 or more COVID-19 cases in a classroom, cohort, or sports teams are identified within 14 days of each other, DHEC recommends excluding all of those students and staff for 14 days. This is a precautionary measure. We are reporting those under the column "Classes/Cohorts/Sports Teams Quarantined/DHEC Protocol (Non-Close Contact at School). If you have any questions about our COVID-19 policies and procedures, please do not hesitate to contact your school nurse or our Director of Health Services. Thank you for your continued support as we all work together to keep our school community safe.
