District Six Schools will be closed on Tuesday, February 3, 2026. Our Safety and Support Team carefully assessed road conditions today and found that many roads are still covered in ice and lingering snow. Below freezing temperatures have prevented melting, creating unsafe travel conditions in our school community. All afterschool activities are also canceled.
Please note that Tuesday will be a traditional school closure, meaning there will be no E-Learning. The state allows districts to use up to five remote learning days each school year. Because of the recent consecutive winter storms, our district has now used all allotted days. As a result, Tuesday’s closing and any additional school closures will need to be made up. We will review calendar options and communicate details regarding make-up days as soon as possible.
We know weather-related schedule changes can be challenging for parents and guardians. Every effort is being made to bring students back to school as soon as it’s safe to do so. Thank you for partnering with us and for being a part of our District Six Family.
