Office of Communications

The Office of Communications for Spartanburg School District Six works with the media to respond to their requests for information and/or interviews. In order to protect instructional time at schools and to ensure that the media relations process works smoothly for everyone, reporters should not contact schools directly but should contact the Communications Office by contacting Cynthia Robinson at 864-576-4212.

Our office then works with school principals and public relations correspondents to determine if the schools can accommodate the reporter’s request.

Our office also contacts employees to make arrangements for interviews.
The district does not allow students talk directly to a reporter without a parent’s prior consent.

For any other questions, members of the media should contact:
Chief Communications Officer Cynthia Robinson by phone 864-576-4212 or email at You will receive a faster response by emailing.

All requests for information under the Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) must be submitted in writing.
