Curriculum & Instruction
Our district's fifth graders embark on an unforgettable adventure to Camp Croft State Park, where textbooks are traded for trails and classrooms become the great outdoors! Under the expert guidance of Mr. Young and Dr. Taylor, students dive deep into hands-on science experiences that bring their curriculum to life in ways they'll never forget.
From exploring diverse ecosystems to discovering the fascinating life cycle of fish, our young scientists get their hands dirty—and maybe a little wet—as they investigate real-world food webs and ecological relationships. This isn't just a field trip; it's a chance for students to become field biologists, asking questions, making observations, and connecting classroom concepts to the natural world around them.
Camp Croft State Park transforms learning into an adventure, and our fifth graders return with more than just memories—they come back with a deeper understanding of science and a genuine excitement for discovery. Now that's what we call being hooked on learning!
