Welcome back to a new school year! On behalf of our Board of Trustees, administrators, teachers, and staff, we are excited to welcome every student and family back to our schools. Whether your child is beginning their educational journey in preschool or kindergarten, transitioning to middle school, preparing for high school graduation, or anywhere in between, we are honored to partner with you in supporting their success.

This year brings new opportunities for learning, growth, and achievement. Our district remains committed to providing safe, engaging, and supportive learning environments where every student is challenged, encouraged, and inspired to reach their full potential. Together, we will continue to foster academic excellence, meaningful relationships, and experiences that prepare our students for success in college, careers, and life.

 

Performance Goal for District Six for the 2026-2027 School Year:

 

One of the most important ways families can support student success is by ensuring their child attends school every day, arrives on time, and is ready to learn. Consistent attendance helps students build strong relationships with their teachers and classmates, develop positive learning habits, and fully engage in the daily instruction and experiences that cannot be replicated outside the classroom. Every school day matters, and every lesson builds upon the last. By making attendance a priority, you are giving your child the greatest opportunity to achieve academic success and reach their full potential.  District Six will work during the 2026-2027 to launch an attendance campaign in every school so that our school ratings and test scores accurately reflect the learning that occurs in each of our buildings.

 

We recognize that parents and families are our most important partners in education. Your encouragement, involvement, and support make a lasting difference in your child's educational journey. We invite you to stay connected with your child's school, participate in district events, and celebrate the many accomplishments that will take place throughout the year.
