Confirm your insurance coverage for 2019

Did you make changes to your insurance coverage during open enrollment last October? If so, the changes began January 1. You may want to check your coverage and deductions to ensure it's what you expected.

Do this by logging in to MyBenefits or by checking your paystub. If you think there may be an issue, talk to your benefits administrator.

    Log in to MyBenefits

Submit your 2018 spending account claims by March 31

The 2018 Medical Spending Account (MSA) plan year may be over, but you still have a grace period to spend any remaining funds. Because the third-party administrator is now ASIFlex, your myFBMC debit card is no longer valid. To use remaining funds, you will have to pay for eligible expenses out of your pocket and file claims for reimbursement.

You can use your 2018 MSA funds for eligible expenses incurred through March 15, 2019. You have until March 31, 2019, to file for reimbursement with WageWorks. You will forfeit any unused funds.

If you have remaining funds in your 2018 Dependent Care Spending Account (DCSA), submit claims by March 31, 2019, to WageWorks. Expenses must have been incurred by December 31, 2018, to be eligible for reimbursement.

Questions about 2018 claims should be directed to WageWorks at 800.342.8017.

    Tax withholding changes for 2019

The Federal and State Withholding Tax Tables changed for tax year 2019. Due to the tax changes, payees who receive a monthly retirement benefit may notice a change in their January 31 payment. You may need to update or change the number of withholding allowances (exemptions) and/or marital filing status (if applicable) or flat dollar amount. To update this information, log in to your Member Access account or download, complete and submit the Withholding Certificate for Monthly Benefit Payments form (Form 7202) to PEBA.

Retirees: 2019 monthly benefit payment dates are available

For retirees, PEBA deposits your monthly benefit payment into your bank account on the last business day of each month. The 2019 payment dates are available here.

PEBA has mailed your 1099-R form. You can also access it anytime by logging in to Member Access.
